Five — a quieter way to keep time
Five does not collect any data. None at all.
What stays on your device
Everything. Prayer times are calculated on your iPhone using published astronomical formulas — there is no server to ask. Which prayers you have kept, your streak, your settings and your location are stored only on your device and shared only with Five’s own widgets.
Location
If you allow it, Five reads your location to work out accurate prayer times for where you are, and to show the name of your city. It is never transmitted anywhere. If you decline, Five falls back to Mecca and tells you plainly that it is doing so.
What Five does not do
No accounts. No analytics. No advertising. No tracking. No third-party software development kits. Nothing is sold or shared with anyone, because nothing ever leaves your phone. Deleting the app deletes everything with it.
Children
Five is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page.
